Angels&Demons 2009 movie review

 

The second film in the Da Vinci series directed by Ron Howard. The movie again starred Tom Hanks, who found himself at least some franchise for charging big money. The film turned out to be much more pleasant by storytelling. The editing is made at a higher level so the movie looks more smoothly.

The story takes place during one day, this time in Vatican. At this time Professor Robert Langdon is asked to save four people and defuse the bomb, which is capable of destroying an entire city. Again a secret ancient organization is behind, and again the solution is through the path of the prehistoric references and surprisingly collected tips which should not only be a professor's trail, but also the conspirator's.

The film contains a large amount of talent: Stellan Skarsgard, Ewan McGregor and Tom Hanks of course. But this time, the creators use them a lot smarter in terms of the characters they play. Ewan McGregor - one of the most talented actors of our time, played the priest in Vatican. He manages his screen time so well that it gives us the best performance in the movie so far. It was also very nice to see Skarsgard playing the chief of the guard. He perfectly executes his role as always. Due to these performances the film doesn't look that unsuitable as the previous one.

The story itself takes place over a short period of time, that creates an atmosphere of a very interesting and addictive mystical thriller. Events are much more dynamic and create quite a good impression.
In general, the movie is much stronger than the previous one in all respects. From acting to storytelling. The atmosphere of the movie is definitely more suitable for this type of film and the story itself, this time, a little more interesting, although at the beginning it is rather dull.

Also, there is an improvement in the emotional aspect of the movie. Especially thanks to the Ewan McGregor performance. Perhaps the width of this story is not the same as in the first film, but the content is shown much better.

The Da Vinci Code 2006 movie review.

Ron Howard is a great director. He has his own vision and a skill of an admirable storytelling. In 2006 he made a movie based on a book by Dan Brown. The story tells us about professor Robert Langdon who is a symbologist and a mystery behind the conspiracy to frame him. 

This movie is for mystery fans, nevertheless not a lot of people liked it at all. I personally can not understand what is the movie's big disadvantage. It has issues but the response for the movie too bad. 

Sometimes you can not find something in particular because the movie as a whole is not enjoyable. It happens when you dislike everything what is going on: story, tone, cinematography, theme, genre. Maybe these are not good in this movie. 

Nicely casted and decently told in my opinion for mystery lovers and Tom Hanks fans. Clue after clue type of movie of cause will invest you into the movie, which is a little too long, but it takes its time to tell the story. But overall it turns up to be a little cheesy and too reckless. The story is developing too rapidly, so it doesn't hook the audience as it should. 

Despite the failure in the critical assessments, the movie received it's own in the box office, thanks to the popularity of the book and Tom Hanks. Also, the subject of the film increases the interest and appears to be a determinant fact for viewing at home, when you need a cheap entertainment. I wouldn't say that this movie deserves its bad reviews, but it is definitely not suitable for the common viewer. The concept of it is suitable only for a very limited circle of people who love secrets and adventures.

The Accountant movie review.

From the first look The Accountant is a little movie about an accountant Christian Wolff who is also suffers from autistic disease. From the second look he is already a very dangerous and wanted by FBI for relations with criminals. 

Wolff character is so well written by Bill Dubuque and perfectly played by Ben Affleck. The story of his is executed with a good dramatic feel. I was fully invested into the character and actually wasn't worried about him, because he is so bad-ass and can handle all by himself. He reminded me about a lot of personages I love and brought a lot of refreshment to it. Especially with autistic disease and such a wonderful mathematical mind. 

The story was told pretty great in a way I love, with some mature scenes and good acting. The plot itself is not big, it is a small story, but written so good. I definitely loved how every scene in the movie made sense and gracefully tied into the whole story which in the end made me admire the movie.

There is another character I want to mention. Jon Bernthal's character surprisingly did a lot to me. When I first saw him in the movie I was surprised - I didn't dug that up that he was in the movie. And then I started to make my decision about his character( and I couldn't even speculate how it connects with the story). First thought was that they will waste him and the movie will turn out as a disappointment overall. But I liked Jon Bernthal performance very much and it perfectly fitted the story. 

Also Anna Kendrick was pretty good in the movie, playing a little naive woman. Fitted great with the story. And, of cause, J.K. Simmons was brilliant again. I enjoyed everyone's performances a lot. 

The movie has a great storytelling,  performances and well done characters and also it is just well made. For the viewer is does everything to enjoy, you just need to sit down with comfort and enjoy it as much as you can, because this movie has a potential to be one of you favorites of the year despite a bad critic score. 

Overall it is a perfect movie for me. It just delivers right as I love and tells a story I usually like and the most important - it doesn't waste itself, it's made with a great vision by Gavin O'Connor and all the crew. 

A new Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 teaser released!

A new teaser trailer for the Guardians of the Galaxy came out and it makes every one who is going to see it anyway even more excited. The trailer includes an old "Hooked on a Feeling" song and shows us a little bit of what this movie is going to be about. Loved the shots and interaction between Drax and Quill. 

It is just a teaser so there are just quick looks on characters but it still has a great atmosphere of the first movie. Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 is one of the most anticipated movies of the year of 2017.

Logan. A new trailer released.

A new trailer for Logan came out! And it was gorgeous in all ways. I didn't expect anything like that. So much pain and post-apocalypse feel. It is Old Man Logan story. And what a great way to handle the last Hugh Jackman movie in this universe. 

The choice of music is the most perfect I ever heard and overall this is the best trailer this year. It made me more excited for this movie even more than for Guardians of the Galaxy, even due to the new trailer for it.

Every shot in the trailer is so powerful, so I teared at the end. And even after 50th time re-watching it I felt it depth and harmony between footage and music. And it is so much unlike any superhero movie as it looks. You don't see it as a superhero genre, until claws come out. This story they are going to tell will be the most hard and dramatic ever. And it is R-rated for a reason. 

This look on Charles is so painful to me, he is in a great pain on his last days living in the dump. And him and Logan are all of the mutants that are left, except this little girl. It has a slight moment of happiness but it brings even more pain and suffer to it. 

Boyd Holbrook looks great as a villain and he is also has a robotic arm. It is such a pleasure just to watch this trailer over and over again to feel this atmosphere again that something went so wrong with mutants. And the trailer specifically doesn't focus on the superpowers of the characters to make us feel them being vulnerable.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) movie review

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back - continuation of the first Jack Reacher. Cruise loves to play these tough decent guys like Reacher. He likes to do this type of movies. At this time he is as in the last time works with already familiar director for him - Edward Zwick, who has worked with Cruise on "The Last Samurai"(2003).

I was expecting the great movie since the first Reacher was a very good movie, plus Zwick is known as a talented director and the trailers for the movie were just fantastic.

But something went wrong. I assume my expectations were too high to handle this average made film. And at this point I blame the trailers which made me so excited after my first look on it. They didn't just represent different tone and atmosphere of the movie but the genre which is just insane. 

The first 30 minutes of the movie are quite like the first one - making you loving Jack Reacher character. He is kicking ass and behaves like in the first movie. But then the story takes a complete different direction and turns up to be family road trip story, what is not what I wanted from the movie to be. And Reacher character changes a little trough the story. Cobie Smulders is good in the movie. I liked their with Reacher chemistry. Smulders is a really good action star. She handles all action sequences very well and acts during boring set pieces between the action. And it really was boring sometimes. 

The script is a very weakness of the movie. I heard about this problem before watching it and wanted to prove everybody wrong by enjoying the movie but critics were right - script and the story is reckless and just bad. Some dialogs are just stupid.

All good about this movie is action and pretty good performances from Cruise ( obviously) and Smulders. Their charisma makes some differences for the movie not to be trash. Action pretty like in the first one, but it was executed worse. Nothing disappoints me more about this movie than a miss-opportunity of this movie being greater than the first one. 

Overall I just can't call it a good movie. I love Tom Cruise and his performances even this one, but the film wastes his talent and doesn't give him even a good dialog. There is a development of his character but actually that was unnecessary for them to do. 

Blood Father movie review

An ex-con reunites with his estranged wayward 17-year old daughter to protect her from drug dealers who are trying to kill her.

The movie with Mel Gibson in the lead role, playing old lost former alcoholic and drug addict - convict who has a daughter ( Erin Moriarty), he almost does not know. Never cared about her, so she grew up in the same way as he did. So she run away from home and got in touch with the bandits, with whom she established a connection through her boyfriend played by Diego Luna, who was not particularly great, but did a good job by separating his character from good Captain Endor.

The film begins with a very average action, showing us the tone of the film - a very full of violence with a bunch of f-words. The story is an interesting enough not to turn it off in the first 10 minutes, especially since Mel Gibson's character appears just after the first scene. Certainly everything leads up to the fact that the movie is completely relies on the charisma and on the Gibson's performance.

Overall it is an enjoyable movie with good performances and some interesting story twists. I enjoyed half of the movie, but expected much more from it. I actually find this a miss opportunity, because potentially it could have been just great. I just didn't feel it like I wanted to. Set pieces were not always good, but I liked the depth of the story, about many things. And as an action thriller the movie is pretty good as for the genre. So despite all many weaknesses it represents another good Mel Gibson movie. But I don't think I am rewatching it soon.

Mad Max: Fury Road movie review.

An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

One of the best movies of its time. Mad Max: Fury Road stands out as a well made movie about the post-apocalypse in which the world has gone mad. From the beginning, the film impresses with its quality and immediately sets the tone and creates an emotional impact on the audience.

I like the atmosphere, the region in which events take place, due to its despair. Action - the best part of the movie. We rarely get this kind of action, which simply grabs the viewer and gives us one of the best action movies of all time. This action is built on brutal music, violence and an atmosphere of madness of the world in which events proceed. 

The story itself is very simple, but it does not matter. All entertainment forgives the lack of a great story. The movie still has connotations of philosophy, which is expressed in the desire to escape from the terrible reality.

Jason Bourne movie review

Jason Bourne is again being hunted by the CIA. It begins when Nicky Parson a former CIA operative who helped Bourne who then went under and now works with a man who's a whistle blower and is out to expose the CIA's black ops. So Nicky hacks into the CIA and downloads everything on all their Black Ops including Treadstone which Bourne was a part of. And Heather Lee, a CIA agent discovers the hack and brings it to the attention of CIA Director Dewey, the man behind the Black Ops. He then orders Parsons be found and hopefully Bourne too. 

Jason Bourne is a reunion of Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon to make another great movie about Borne. But a perfect fourth movie about Bourne did not work, despite a fine cast, the film brings to the franchise nothing original, and creates an impression that if the movie did not exist then it would serve the story of Jason Bourne better. 

This is an average movie by the execution, but it does have a few good episodes of action and interactions between the CIA and their operatives. The system is shown from the inside and it is enjoyable to watch some of new characters. I am frankly very disappointed by the Tommy Lee Jones character. His character - a typical Born villain from the top, who creates a conspiracy and all the time trying to imitate the bad CIA director.

I think the film deserves praise for creating an atmosphere just like in the previous Bourne films. The camera during action behaves itself like in a Bourne movie. Bourne himself, despite the fact that he is no longer young, became more intelligent and started to plan everything more wisely. 

The movie does not carry the original story. It does not give us the exact status of Bourne, namely, what this character represents at the moment. It is unnecessary sequel for a great trilogy. And everything would be forgotten if the movie turned out to be great, but it did not. Greengrass, in my opinion, failed to give a new impact for the character, only made him useless and miserable. 

Jack Reacher

In an innocent heartland city, five are shot dead by an expert sniper. The police quickly identify and arrest the culprit, and build a slam-dunk case. But instead of confessing, the accused man writes the words, "Get Jack Reacher." Reacher himself sees the news report and turns up in the city. The defense is immensely relieved, but Reacher has come to bury the guy. Shocked at the accused's request, Reacher sets out to confirm for himself the absolute certainty of the man's guilt, but comes up with more than he bargained for.

I liked the movie. Tom Cruise - one of my favorite actors, playing the smart tough guy  - always a pleasure to watch. His character is very unsociable - he's a ghost, he can not be find. He was trained in this and this is what he is the best at. Reacher was an investigator of the War Crimes in the army.Plus he would kick anyone's ass in a fight , and he acts as a public defender, always brings justice, using his special method, even if it is illegal. 

I was thinking about comparison between Ethan Hunt and Jack Reacher an entire movie, despite the fact that these two characters are not connected by anything, except that the were both played by Tom Cruise.So, these two characters are completely different, and Cruise plays Reacher very well, so that after the movie you will not have any doubts about it. First, Reacher is no hero, he is a vigilante, who could easily torture, kill, steal and much more, which makes him a very rough guy compared with Hunt. 

The movie is quite good .The story is well told. There was no weak parts in it. It delivers conspiratorial action detective pretty well. The film combines different genres showing us drama,  comedy and ordinary detective. Christopher McQuarrie, director of "Edge of Tomorrow", is also the director of this movie apparently has a great chemistry working together with Cruise .

This is rather an unusual movie in tone and it gives the viewer that what he is looking for - a good action movie with Tom Cruise.

John Wick movie review.

John Wick is for me a perfect movie about hitman. Everything in it: action, violence, brutality and elegance action are impressive quality. Because of this, we got absolutely original film, a very rare and surprisingly shocking, fact that we did not even notice that we missed hardcore badass movie. After all, before the release of the movie no one expected that it will be as good, and only positive reviews and feedback got people to watch it and allowed to gather good enough money in the office box to make a sequel, which will be released in February 2017.

The main star of the film - Keanu Reeves, who is not as bright as twenty years ago, but I think in this movie, he proved that he is one of the best action stars in the world at the moment. He is well prepared physically, and he has got a real talent for thrillers. He does a great job with delivery of the character to the audience.

The script tells us the story of John Wick - legendary assassin, who retired from this terrible profession, for the sake of his wife, who is dying from a rare disease, and it becomes incredibly hard for John. He loses his purpose in life and sees no light at the end of the tonel. All that he has left - his favorite car and empty beautiful house, bought with money earned from long-term hitman career. Before her death, his wife buys John a dog so he would love something in his life, and that would remind him about her.

It is difficult to imagine what John Wick felt in the first days after the funeral, but we can imagine how can feel a hired killer in a period of complete despair. And better not to make funny of him and not to anger him at the moment - especially not to break into his house at night and not to kill the very dog, which embodies all the love of John for his departed wife. Plus, the robbers also stole his favorite car so John is ready to return to the past for finishing one last thing. The robbers are local bandits led by Viggo Tarasov - the very man to whom Wick worked the last time. Robbery organized by his son Joseph - selfish and uncontrollable, he violated the agreement between Wick and his father, thus making himself a prime target for John. Viggo himself would do everything to stop Wick, but to do so he will need all available resources and all waves of thugs he can afford.

The film is very well reveals Wick's feelings and emotions. We are invested into the character and completely understand his motives and actions. Also there are numerous parallels for the depth of the movie. Also, there are a lot of philosophical questions , making the film a piece of art. 

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" third trailer

Oh boy, I loved this trailer. It is perfectly combines incredibly emotional two-minute footage showing us more of the plot and making us admire and more excited about the film. 

We see an entirely new structure of the trailer, as well as all the final trailer, it reveals the plot and new, more key events. We are also seeing more interaction between Orson Krennic and Galen Erso and I am also very intrigued about how the story is built between them. 

Even more military action, feel of a war movie. Everything that happens - for the sake of struggle against the great Empire. Resistance - the Rebel Alliance is based on hope - that is why only by the strength of the spirit they can achieve the results.

Also, a two new scenes with Darth Vader. I love how they handle him - without revealing too much and creating a mystical role for him in the movie.
In the trailer there are many different and interesting moments. Feeling itself created by them - admirable. The atmosphere which is set up for this film promises something completely new and great.

New Rogue One poster includes Darth Vader.

Rogue One trailer drops tomorrow, but today we have the final poster to the film. By the Star Wars tradition  we see all the main characters on the poster, with some locations at the bottom, showing the Imperials and their vehicles, representing  menacing power of the empire.In the background we see the Death Star, with a barely noticeable face of Darth Vader, who will not play such a big role as many had hoped, but he will play an important role instead.

If you speculate that it may be concluded that the focus is be made on the main battle in the new beach planet. All previous trailers contain video of big battle on it, and we all know how this going to end.

Of course I'm really looking forward to the new trailer as a Star Wars fan and of course, the movie itself. I think this is a brilliant poster with a lot of space for discussion, about what might happen. I am glad that Vader is on the poster, so I'm relaxed about his participation. Very intrigued who of the rebel team will survive, because there definitely will be a lot of deaths.

The Jungle Book (2016) movie review.

The man-cub Mowgli flees the jungle after a threat from the tiger Shere Khan. Guided by Bagheera the panther and the bear Baloo, Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery, though he also meets creatures who don't have his best interests at heart.

Today, I once again saw The Jungle Book and was again amazed by mind and labor that were applied to the creation of this film. Directed by Jon Favreau - one of my favorites directors, the movie was entirely shot in the studio and does not include any locations, only scenery and the green screen behind a single man, starring in the film - Mowgli (Neel Sethi).

The movie strikes with a majestic technical base and remakes an old animated version into live-action movie with talking animals which are completely CGI. Despite the lack of real locations, visually it looks great. Sometimes you really can't say that this is not real, due to quality and magic of the movie, which combines all good in it and creates a perfect perception for the film. 

It is a combination of the light tone, good family friendly story and great characters such as Baloo (voiced by Bill Murray), Bagheera ( voiced by Ben Kingsly), Shere Khan ( voiced by Edris Elba) and a lot more great actors and actresses who took part in the movie. 

I think a big part in the movie plays an emphasis on beautiful story of Mowgli, his relationship with Baloo and Bagheera. Everything in this film gives us a glimpse of the beautiful and kind movie about many important questions as: family, home and courage to fight for others.

Guardians of the Galaxy movie review.

I just love this movie. It is filled with beautiful moments and well combines comedy and superhero genre. The uniqueness of the film is the soundtrack, which surprisingly conveys the whole atmosphere and emotionally makes it clear who is Peter Quill (Chris Pratt).

In general, the character is very funny and serious at the same time. Played by magnificent Chris Pratt - a master of charismatic characters. The entire film is built on his story, feelings, experiences. He clearly is a leader and the link to unite the guardians together. 

The movie plays from the beginning on viewer's feelings, makes it clear that the film will go deep into the character of the Star Lord. We are shown his connection with the family and why he keeps the player and the songs given to him.

I really appreciate the director's hand in the film. The whole production looks very cinematic, and, despite a more entertaining genre movie is worth to recommend it to all lovers of the cinema. By the way, the film is included in the rating of thousands of movies that you have to see in a lifetime. Rating compiled by serious people who put this film along with timeless classics.

The film is also filled with wonderful characters, in addition to Qwill. Gamora (Zoe Saldana) - Green cyborg-killer at heart quite nice, as well as Drax (Dave Bautista) poorly understands metaphors and epithets taken on Earth, making interaction with Peter Quill even more fun, because the last one often uses them.

Drax the Destroyer - another member of the team, a fearless warrior seeking revenge to the main villain - Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) for the death of loved ones. He will do everything for the sake of meeting him.

Raccoon Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) - companions, bounty hunters. Also very funny and nice characters. I will not list all of the many scenes in which the chemistry between guardians creates a hysterical joy (in a good way), because the whole film is built on their relationship. Groot - by the first look is a dump tree, with unique skeleton, allowing him to grow limbs and even do some tricks. He aslo has his own unique character, completely  loyal to friends. The Rocket is opposite very selfish and does not risk for the sake of others, he loves money and is best expert in electronics. And I liked Yondu Udonta played by Michael Rooker. He is the leader of the Ravagers. He has a special relationship with Quill, and indeed he is surprisingly very comic character.

It might seem difficult for these five different characters to form a great team. I have to say - it won't be easy for the first time , but thanks to their common goal, they are able to become a power to stop Ronan and save the Galaxy. 

The Big Lebowski

When "The Dude" Lebowski is mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, two thugs urinate on his rug to coerce him into paying a debt he knows nothing about. While attempting to gain recompense for the ruined rug from his wealthy counterpart, he accepts a one-time job with high pay-off. He enlists the help of his bowling buddy, Walter, a gun-toting Jewish-convert with anger issues. Deception leads to more trouble, and it soon seems that everyone from porn empire tycoons to nihilists want something from The Dude.

Big Lebowski is an excellent and very funny movie about a dude who takes everything easy and slow, enjoying life. Main character 's name is Jeff Lebowski(Jeff Bridges), but he asks everyone to call him "The Dude". He just lives in his apartment, having fun playing bowling and enjoying the company of friends: Donny and Walter, played by Steve Buscemi and John Goodman. Both of these characters have great personalities and they perfectly interact with the main character.

Particular attention should be paid to the story, because it simply great. The story develops quickly and easily. All events provide an excellent comedy about how a chain of accidents creates a perfect storm of events, which so nice to watch.

The atmosphere in the film so calm and easy, despite the fact that the whole movie is full of action and violence, but seeing the reaction of "The Dude" everything becomes so much fun and not serious, just sit and enjoy all aspects of the film.

I decided to watch the movie again because of the Jeff Bridges performance in Hell or High Water. I loved to see what this great actor can do with two different characters. John Goodman also plays awesome and funny. I really appreciate this movie for its simplicity and fun. So if you want to see R-rated comedy, without bad jokes and very entertaining tone, then this movie is for you.

Hell or High Water movie review.

Hell r High Water

The film is a work of art, directed by David MacKenzie. The screenplay was written by Taylor Sheridan and tells the story of two brothers.

Here is a brief description:

A divorced father and his ex-con older brother resort to a desperate scheme in order to save their family's ranch in West Texas.

This is a great story, with many philosophical and deep thoughts. From very beginning, we are in the middle of action, immersed into the problems, thoughts and feelings of the main characters played by Chris Pine and Ben Foster.

Using various techniques the director takes the viewer to the reality of the main characters and shows us why they do it, how they came to that and what they stand for. Emotional involvement in the story of the characters is impressive by execution.

The film has a western atmosphere, full of good drama, the relationship between brothers are very well made. One of the best roles of Ben Foster, playing the madman, the best performance of Chris Pine. Jeff Bridges is great as always, bringing so much positive and talent to the film.

I really liked the movie. From the beginning you feel the quality of each scene. Feel characters, if you see what they think, what they feel due to the stunning acting.

The director shows motivation of each character and explain their actions. Events are developing harmoniously and scenes fly one after another with brilliant grace. I really enjoyed the movie. For me it is the number one contender for an Oscar this year.

John Wick's new poster and trailer released.

John Wick: Chapter Two is coming soon on February 10th, 2017 and already got us super excited about it. Since the first movie was great and now with a new trailer and poster it has a potential to be even more successful in the box office. 

On the poster we see John Wick surrounded by dozens of guns, all in blood. Go see it back and we can expect the same incredible action and fight scenes that we have enjoyed in the first film.

It should be noted that of the first film about John Wick has its own unique style of showing action with beautiful atmospheric music and Keanu Reeves's sharp sharpened movements, dividing wonderful tricks so gracefully that unconsciously you compare the film with the "Matrix".

An important role in these scenes also plays the role of the operator executing the inimitable scenes with great professionalism. Here is what to expect from the new John Wick. In addition, he went to Rome, from where you can also expect excellent atmospherics and a new spirit of the criminal world.

The same day, a new trailer was shown at the New York Comic Con and just confirmed everything I wrote above: great action, great views of Rome and John Wick, like the devil, effectively killing all around. First look at the hero Laurence Fishburne.And as a small shot on a new John dog, apparently also taking part in the action. I hope it does not die in this one.

I personally love the first John Wick, and now I'm even more looking forward seeing a new film, thanks to the trailer I was finally convinced that the film will not let me down and show what I'm looking for.

X-men: Apocalypse movie review.

Synopsis:

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a God. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

The movie has a good overall statistic so it is a casual solid movie, not as good as two before this one but it still has a lot of great scenes to entertain you with a lot of characters played by newcomers such as Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp and more. They represent a new generation of actors playing most central x-men in the franchise. 

As well as in the first two movies the best parts of acting are James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender performances. The whole movie is based on Proffesor Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr story. 

After 10 years after events in Washington, Erik lives in small town in Poland and Charles is becoming more and more similar with Patric Stewart version of more wise and old Charles. Also we get everyone else's backstory. 

One of the strongest parts of the movie is a villain - the Apocalypse played by Oscar Isaac who is such a strong character. And Isaac himself plays him so well, even wonder whose performance I liked more: his or Fassbender's.

This movie is all about being good but not as great as the other two. It has a lot of good scenes but the didn't harmonize with each other, connecting set pieces is not good, and there are a lot of issues with the third act of the film. 

In my opinion it was not complited or maybe was made in a big hurry and it certanly effected the moive. One of the biggest weaknesses are Jennifer Lawrence performance and using too much time on backstories of everybody in the film.

Action was good, It was so x-men style with an original score frome old days. Everything in terms of tone and atmosphere was handled great. Wolverine's cameo was awesome. I really think that violence is what people needed from this scenes and what we need from "Logan". 

Overall it was not even close to be as good as previous ones but it has a lot of entertaining separated scenes like Quicksilver's heat under "Sweet Dreams" song or Logan's cameo.

What Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is all about?

I am a huge Star Wars fan and I dig up and know almost all the news about new movies. Last days these news were: Michael Giacchino replacing Alexander Desplat and of cause a lot of noise around the reshoots which is ridiculous for me. Because if making such a big project like Star Wars you feel a great responsibility for the quality and you will check out every little part of it to create a perfect movie so this is why they have done these scheduled reshoots.

Anyway there were a lot of mentions of Rogue One last 3 month. Bad or good - doesn't matter because the movie will be great and will do awesome in the box office. They put so many resources and work into it so there is nothing to worry about.

First of all this not a saga film. This is the first spin-off movie with completely different tone and atmosphere so this is going to be more of a war film maybe even darker than the Empire. 

Right from the beggining of the marketing campaign Lucasfilm tries to seperate it from main trilogy naming the movie "A Star Wars Story", discussing about putting the opening skroll or not and using all this marketing methods to tell people not familiar with the property what it is all about. Also we are going to have Darth Vader in the movie too, so it is a huge marketing asset to push the movie forward. Despite the main villain Director Orson Krennic Vader voiced by great James Earl Jones will be a great addition to the movie. 

A great thing about it is that it takes place right before A New Hope and leads us to the events of the original trilogy. So basically it is a prequel. In the opening credits for Episode IV there is a mention of rebel spies who stole the Death Star plans during the battle. This what the movie is based of. 

How a small bunch of rebels can defeat a superpower like this on a battlefield and steal the most classified plans in the galaxy? I always wondered how could they do something like that by their heroism alone because this mission seems to be almost imposible to pull off. We are going to find this out pretty soon on December 15th, 2016.

After Batman vs Superman little disappointment, Justice League started filming considering change of tone. Warner Brothers tried so hard to keep their audience by arranging press showings on set, having the biggest San Diego Comic Con panel with a lot of footage, introducing new characters and making the movie less dark. Thus excusing to the fans who didn't like what they did with the movie in which Batman and Superman fighting each other.

Due to mixed reviews DCU is moving to a new lighter tone, which is intriguing. A lot of buzz is really working for the movie which will gather a lot of superheroes again but with more sence of responsibility for the quality of the movie so it wouldn't need a special edition to be watchable. 

And now it has done filming and director Zack Snyder posted a funny behind the scenes video of crew and cast having fun and giggling around which is great for marketing. Of cause they do it for us - fans and we should celebrate that we are going to have another entertaining movie with Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash which I think will be great this time. 

The movie will open on November 17, 2017.

Deadpool movie review.

Comic book movies are always about good and saving the world but not this. This is Deadpool, so don't even think it is a superhero movie - this is a heavy R - rated comedy with so much references to other movies always breakind forth wall by main hero played by Ryan Reynolds. Actually he was born to play Wade Wilson. 

The movie takes such an interesting and dinamic storytelling with a lot of flashbacks and narrator voice explaining and keeping the audience entertained. Still it is a comic book movie taking place in X-men universe also having some other heroes and villains. 

It has such an entertaining buzz, there are a lot of filthy jokes and f-words so it is not family friendly. The tone is actually very light, you just sit and laugh at the jokes, never expect bad things to happen.All the way the film has a great soundtrack accompaniment, with cool action you never seen before in the superhero movie. 

It is based on Wade Wilson's story - a mercenary who lives and hanging up at the bar with friends, enjoys beating up bad guys. It is about his romance with Morena Baccarin's character and suddenly having a cancer. So he would be forced to try a doubtful program to heal himself. The character was handled super good, for someone who is familiar with Deadpool comic book will really appreciate that he was literally moved from the pages. 

Jokes are a special part of the movie. It has so many references to other movie so if you are a movie fan - go watch it. It's totally worth it no matter what R-rated thing will be in it. This is such a new and original and magnificent look on a superhero genre so this is something. That also makes sense if to know that most of the people working and creating the movie are actual Deadpool fans.

For me personally this is one of the favorites movie of the year. It has everything I love about cinema and entertainment. It actually reminds me about Iron Man (2008) a lot in a way of storytelling speed and presentation of the character, having a light tone. Of cause it's different but the circumstances are the same for those movies. I love rewatching it simply because of ease of viewing it. 

And of cause you always dig up for a Stan Lee cameo and actually it was in my opinion the best his cameo ever, so suitable for the movie atmosphere and so unexpected this time.

Official Title for new "Blade Runner" revealed.

Official title for a new Blade Runner will be "Blade Runner 2049". The main events will take place 30 years after the original movie. But no story details have been revealed yet. 

The movie directed by Denis Villeneuve starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard. The movie will hit theaters on October 6th. 

Personally I am very excited about this one. Look at the cast: Ford, Leto, Gosling, Bautista. The director of "Sicario" Denis Villeneuve who is always great at bringing depth and thoughtfulness - prefect combination for "Blade Runner's" atmosphere. I know Ryan Gosling playing tough and melancholic characters so he will be a great fit for "Blade Runner" dark tone.

I didn't like the original one like maybe somebody loved it but I still appreciate the cultural value of it. I just hope that the new one will have the same cultural significance but entertain me more so it would be a perfect combination.

"Suicide Squad" extended cut to be released on Blu-ray and digitally.

As we all seen "Suicide Squad" suffers from the tone confusion and poorly made plot which was written in 3 weeks because of tough schedule. Because of reshoots, last minute changes and studio unwise intervention the movie itself didn't become that blockbuster we expected. I wonder if the extended cut would cardinally change the quality of the film in a good way.

Personaly, I don't think it will help Suicide squad as it helped theatrical cut of "Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice" to redeem the whole movie but seeing more of these villains interacting with each other and maybe seeing more sense in the story is totally worth it.


It is still not clear if it's going to be more Joker in this one or if they going to show us David Ayer's edition - more dark and violent. But we all know for sure that extended version of the movie will have more moments we all anticipated. Digitally it will be realised on November 15th and on Blu-ray on December 13th.

Brand new title and poster for new Wolverine revealed

There have been a lot of rumors about a new Hugh Jackman Wolverine project. And now it is finally revealed its first poster which certainly tells us more what it is going to be about.
The poster didn't show us great many things but it set up a tone the film will be marketed. However, we don't know for now about the title. It is exactly not going to be called Wolverine 3.
The movie is not that far away and the first teaser is near so I am very excited about this one. I think it is going to be called Logan but who knows.

The last Hugh Jackman X-man movie will land in theaters on March 3rd, 2017.

Central Intelligence (2016)

Calvin Joyner was voted in high school the guy most likely to succeed. 20 years later he's an accountant. As his high school reunion approaches, he tries to make contact with his old schoolmates. And someone named Bob Stone contacts him. He says that he was known as Robbie Weirdicht in school. Calvin remembers that he was picked on, as a matter of fact after an extremely nasty prank he left school. They agree to meet and Calvin is surprised by how much he has changed. Bob asks Calvin to help him out. He says yes and the next thing he knows some men burst into his home. They're CIA, the one in charge is looking for Stone, she says he's a rogue agent. When they can't find Bob they leave. Later he approaches Calvin telling him, he is not a rogue agent, he's trying to find a person known as the Black Badger who is planning to sell some information that in the wrong hands can be disastrous. so he needs Calvin's help to stop him. Calvin's not sure whom he should believe.
I really enjoed this movie. There are some cheesy episodes but it is a good average comedy with a great cast and an incredible chemistry inside. Interaction between Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson is great and it was a pleasure to watch them in action. This movie is a typical buddy spy comedy which definitely brings a lot of fun and laughs but in the same time doesn't have a high quality when it comes to keeping the plot together (it is definitely more a genre issue).The tone is wavering from a violent action thriller to a very light comedy and an interest in the story is getting lost towards the end, although in the first and the second acts the plot develops really interesting.
Central Intelligence explores not just a soul of each characters but it does remind us about how unique we all inside on example of Bob Stone and Calvin Joyner who are so different but there is something very similar in both of them. And it gives us this amazing chemistry and we are invested into the story to go on this crazy buddies adventure to save the world ( and at this part the it gets cheesy).

• A movie with 69% on Rotten Tomatoes is called as successful with Critics Consensus: Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson make for well-matched comic foils, helping Central Intelligence overcome a script that coasts on their considerable chemistry.
• Chemistry and Interaction between Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson creates something very special.
• Spy comedy with pg-13 jokes and a lot of fun especially because of the chemistry inside the cast. Tone is a little crazy which is obviously normal for the genre so dig up some similar movies to understand what it is about. But it the difference is mostly because of the chemistry and Dwayne Johnson's charisma on set. 
• It has a lot of cliche scenes and if you are focused and suspicious enough you can easily predict what is going to happen.
• Kevin Hart gives a very good performance playing scared clerc who was a school golden boy. Interesting characters the both have with "The Rock".
• First two acts the story develops pretty well and it makes a good job in investing somehow the audience into this adventure.
• The third act starts to lose focus of the audience in some point simply because of predictable ending and by not the best realization.
• The movie has a cheesy ending which is enjoyable if you can handle this sort of things.
• Actually the director and the writers really try to create a soul for those characters, go deep down into them, under their skin. And there is characters development so it is a decent, not dumn movie about two school buddies running around doing crazy spy stuff with a great cast and crew of filmmakers on board.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016)

With many people fearing the actions of super heroes, the government decides to push for the Hero Registration Act, a law that limits a hero's actions. This results in a division in The Avengers. Iron Man stands with this Act, claiming that their actions must be kept in check otherwise cities will continue to be destroyed, but Captain America feels that saving the world is daring enough and that they cannot rely on the government to protect the world. This escalates into an all-out war between Team Iron Man (Iron Man, Black Panther, Vision, Black Widow, War Machine, and Spiderman) and Team Captain America (Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Falcon, Sharon Carter, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and Ant Man) while a new villain emerges.

I was so over excited about this movie, watched trailers multiple times in a row, read all the information so when it came out I watched it the opening night. I am a big Iron Man fan so first I watched it from Tony Stark's perspective and felt all emotional component from his point of view and kind of skiped Cap's feelings. But when it came out on digital I rewatched the movie and saw much more in it and started to realize how deep the plot is and there is definitely much remains to be explored.

Movie emotionally filled with aftermath of Avengers actions and it leads us to movie events. It is a new look on usual marvel superhero movie. There are things to check out for casual movie fans and it is quite entertaining for neutral viewers. Russo Brothers did a great work with Winter Soldier bringing a new tone and more dark and thrilling direction. As well as Winter Soldier Civil War explores new tides and gives the audience a great content.
If you didn't watch it in the movie theatre and if you didn't decide seeing it or not then I hope this article will be of use for you. In my opinion this movie is original and well made and it is totally almost for everyone.

• The movie explores a different side of known characters and introduces two new superheroes T'Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman ) and Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland). Now we look at Tony and Cap, their emotions from different perspective, we explore them again like we didn't know them before. This is achievable through great storytelling by Russo brothers. 
• Introductions of new characters are made very well. Especially because of how interesting and amazing these characters are. Peter Parker is still a high school teenager who just received his superpowers. One of the most beloved characters of all time was handed almost perfect like in a way he is in comic books. He is such a great addition to the most entertaining part in the movie - the airport scene which increases the level of entertainment and awesomeness of the movie. 
• Another one is T'Challa - prince of Wakanda who is also Black Panther - protector of peaceful folk living in his country. He has strong certain belief which he follows and honors, his character is strong and calm. He is honorable and noble and has something philosophical in him. Everything else you will find out from the movie if you are not already familiar with him.
• Depth of the movie impresses especially for marvel film. Every character got a well set up backstory. You can feel a philosophical implication in the movie.
• There are too many superheroes. Even more than in Avengers movies. It may be good or bad for the film. In the first hand you got a lot of different interesting characters and in the other you are always distracted from Cap's storyline.
• This is a psychological thriller and this means that you will be always on the edge of your seat during important for the story episodes. The movie can really change your mind about marvel and superhero genre for the best. 
• This not a light tone of Avengers. It is more like Winter Soldier so be prepared for drama and thrilling moments.

The Magnificent Seven - remake of the 1960 classic. Certainly it does not represent the same cultural value and can not boast same great critic response as a classic one. If we compare these two movies, you can find a lot in common, what makes these films unique by their history and philosophy send, as in an interview, said the director of the new picture Antoine Fuqua, so the film has something of interest to the viewer.

In my opinion the new film even very underrated, due to such large amount of mixed reviews. I liked it much more than majority of people did. It has all the classic one did and it was made with a fresh perspective. It has the best cast you can dig and a very appropriate director who delivers not just incredible action but a deep thought that sometimes justice comes not from big bills but from doing what is right.

The movie is fresh, it has a positive response. Critics Consensus: The Magnificent Seven never really lives up to the superlative in its title — or the classics from which it draws inspiration — but remains a moderately diverting action thriller on its own merits.

The cast is magnificent as well. We got Washington, Pratt, Hawke and D'Onofrio. And there are some people not that famous who give a great and interesting performance.

Denzel Washington is great as always. This is his first western and he gives an incredible performance in the movie.

Chris Pratt is a movie star right now. Seeing such a great cast and Pratt in there as well increases excitement about it a lot.

Atmosphere in this movie stand out as an old, more classic feel. The chemistry between the crew is great which makes this movie even more creative and fun and creates a good solid film. The music is something special all the way supports the feel and makes us care about the story and characters more. Original soundtrack by James Horner.

A huge part of the movie which stand out for me is action. There is a lot of action and deaths showed very violent and rough. Set pieces are very well made, it is a high quality film all the way and action is one of the most strongest parts.

The tone is all the way similar with the original except being more dark. We have more adult conversations and much more violent humor than in the classic one.

The story set up pretty well. It all starts with slaughtering the villagers and then it starts to introduce us main characters. It was also handled very good. We have Denzel's character Chisolm who is a bounty hunter. He is a main hero and we got Josh Faraday - Chris Pratt character who is a very complicated man and he has nothing similar with Steve McQueen's character in the original. Pratt created a very complex and brand new character for himself. Since they meet and decide to gather a team to protect the village the second act begins.

Emotional attachment in the movie exists. Nevertheless knowing about what happened in the original I have already counted the odds before the movie and was expecting the worse in the end but I was still surprised how it was handled. You care about the seven, director Antoine Fuqua did a great job with the story and philosophy in it. 

This is a rewatchable movie. In my case I walked out of the theater liking it and ended up loving it a week after that.
