A New Star Wars movie about younger Han Solo begins shooting.

Han Solo movie, everybody is dying to see, starts shooting, as one of the directors Chris Miller shared first photo from the set. Everything is on schedule and the movie will be made on time. But, as of right now, there multiple rumors about this movie being pushed on a new December release date, instead of May. And that might mean, that it will has a longer post-production, but more time for us to wait.

Of cause, everyone is very excited to see, what origin story might Han Solo has, but there is still a question about, if we even need an origin story, and will it change a perception of this iconic character?
And there is one reason, why I am calm and confident - because of Laurence Kasdan, and his script. The man himself, who wrote the script for the Empire, will continue developing this great character for the last time, passing the torch to younger generations of screenwriters.

Lord and Miller, famous for such hits like The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, are the directors, and I think they will make a good movie. But I am a little nervous, if this movie will feel like it should. Latest news brought us great Woody Harrelson to star as Han Solo's mentor, and possibly Garris Shrike, a character from Star Wars legends, who looked after Solo.

There have been talks, that Lord and Miller understand this character even better, then George Lucas, due to Lucas's stupid change in the special addition, when Solo shot second. I just speculate, if someone can create the character, as good as Han Solo, but mess up one scene. Of cause, nobody even came close in greatness of creating the best of the best characters like George Lucas did, but due to the prequels and their flaws, for millions of people, in improving some already known characters, Lord and Miller now seem more appropriate for developing young Han Solo.

I personally think, that there are a lot of positives in the prequel era, and those already known characters were developed well. And I don't really like, when people call Lucas a worse writer, just because his genius ideas were misunderstood. Do not forget, who started all of this, who created Star Wars and Indiana Jones. And saying, that Lucas doesn't understand his own characters better, then just a bunch of fans, is ridiculous.

New trailer for Beauty and the Beast released.

New and the last trailer for Disney's Beauty and the Beast released and shows more magic, and reveals a lot more plot details.
Here is an official synopsis:
Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

First of all, this new trailer is really well put, and advertises this movie as a musicale, so the audience will probably know, what movie they are going to see. These bright and beautiful colors, shown in the trailer, that tone of the original animated film, make it so familiar for the general audience, so they will just go and watch it in the opening weekend.

I am amazed how well does Emma Watson fit the role. But I don't like the Beast's look or the looks of those cartoonish, CGI characters, but I suppose they must look like that. And of cause they have to match the expectations.

Ben Affleck won't direct "The Batman"

Variety reports that Ben Affleck won't direct 'The Batman'. Instead, he will produce it. This decision is not influenced by latest Affleck's flop Live by Night, and made with a will to create the best movie possible. Affleck says that he wants to focus on something single, and bring the best performance he can give.

“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions,” Affleck said in a statement. “Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”

That being said, we all know how great Ben can do, combining his positions. The positive side in this statement is him still being very close to the director, that is why we will see a huge Affleck's influence on the movie. He just needs to focus on one thing.

This news were around for a long time, I think. Since a very interesting, even intriguing situation with the script Affleck was a little upset and one month back claimed, that might not be a director, but then some weeks later, on Jimmy Kimmel show, he said it, that he will certainly be a director. And now, after all we see, that it might be a serious problem, whether new Batman movie will be better with Affleck in the director's chair or not.

New Flash movie has script rewrites

Warner Brother's Flash, which will come out in 2018, and starring Ezra Miller, will have some rewrites by a new writer Joby Harold. The page one will be rewritten, so that means that the whole script will be changed, and since the movie is just one year away before the release, it might mean another change of the release date for the film. The DCIU's Flash will be introduced in this year's Justice League and has nothing to do with the TV show.

The news are not that bad, as they sound. First of all, nobody screaming and yelling for the Flash movie to come out as soon as possible. DC has to take their time, push the movie a little forward, but create a good, worthy film, which will not turn people away from this universe. Most exciting thing is that now the script should be more detailed and smart, so I think, with a little delay, but a great script, this movie won't lose anything.

Manchester by the sea (2016) movie review. Casey Affleck's best role.

This is that movie, that I was looking forward for month. Not only because I love great movies, but also because of the buzz about Casey Affleck's performance. I was thinking, if he is that good, as everyone was saying, and finally I watched it myself, and now I understand - it is the best performance of the year.

This is such a great drama. It combines wonderful script, directing, performing, sense of life and its reality, and this is just a beautifully shot film. One thing, that I appreciate the most in that movie - is Casey Affleck's  performance. I felt his character, I experienced his emotions with him, and that is what performances are about - to make the audience feel the character.

The one thing I want to mention is Kenneth Lonergan's work as a director. He just made this film work as a whole. To connect all these pieces in one movie, especially in this one, is a very difficult task, so I fully support Kenneth Lonergan for his Oscar nomination. Because without him, this movie wouldn't even see the light, and Casey's performance would have been buried somewhere deep, and no one would have seen it.

The story is a little simple. It doesn't have a lot of surprises, except one, which wasn't even a surprise, but a huge shock and at that moment I understood, that this movie, made with a lot of effort, deserves a recognition at every award show this year, this is one of the best simple life drama of the year of 2016.

Patriots Day 2016 movie review.

Patriots day is a drama, starring Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin Bacon and J.K. Simmons. It is about Boston marathon bombing in 2013, when two huge explosions taken life of three people, and injured several hundred others. These events took place just four years ago, and we have a biopic about it already, directed by Peter Berg, who likes working with Mark Wahlberg, as they made 'Deep Water Horizon' and 'Lone Survivor' together.

This movie is so deep and realistic. The events are shown with respect for everyone, who suffered from this horrible event. This is a great film, it hooks and tells the story in a very smart way, as we follow Mark Wahlberg's character through investigation, and see what he is experiencing and thinks, and what is on his mind at the time, when he was in the place of bombing, seeing the cruelty of that event.

Mark Wahlberg does a good job, portraying his character. Everyone else were great, for example, Kevin Bacon, as an FBI agent. So this movie is great because of the performances, smart storytelling and a certain tone, which more than successfully shows the point of view of the citizens of Boston and all that emotional tension, experienced by ordinary people, Mark Wahlberg's character included.

I think, that this movie is important for understanding the root of the terrorism, and why these people are ready to kill someone, for some "truth", all over the sudden 'hate'. Seeing the story of two brothers, who were manipulated to do such a bad deed, is more than enough to understand the reason, why people do not understand, that they are patsies in someones selfish war for nothing. These terrorists are manipulated and horribly wrong, doing things, which will just make them another evil on the news.

Silence. Movie review.

Silence. Latest Martin Scorsese film, which he wanted to make for years. He put a lot of passion and creativity to it, and it was noticeable. His effort and sense of greatness, he brings to his movies, were in this one too. That is a very hard to watch film, for sure. You will cry, definitely. I would call it, Scorsese's 'Schindler's List', but without great soundtrack, because it wasn't literally in the movie at all. This movie has it's title's meaning. It is very calm and silent. The tone is made the way it should - very dramatic and realistic, and cruel.

The story is great, the purpose of the movie is to show, how the power of belief can influence people's will. They die, suffer, struggle for what they think is true. This movie has such a powerful story. It is about the Japanese Christians, who are persecuted by local inquisitors. And it is also about two padres, who travel to the country to save their mentor, Father Ferreira (Liam Neeson) from cruel fate of every Christian in Japan. Without giving anything away, this movie is very hard to watch. Events, which are shown, are brutal, very inhuman. The main issue is, of cause, the faith, and the struggle to keep it.

All this movie is filled with pain and serene at the same time. Because only due to serene, in those different shots and takes, almost silent, this movie can bring so much drama. Torture, humiliating and loss are very common things, and the movie really makes us care for these people. That can be achieved only by wonderful directing. And there are so meanings for the word 'silence'. The depth of the thought and the idea is great and smart.

This movie had some potential to be nominated for an Oscar, but seems like very little amount of people fully understood it. Very interesting performance by Andrew Garfield. He played one of the padres. After watching this film, I now can conclude, that his performance in this movie is so much more powerful and deep, than in Hacksaw Ridge, and I feel like it is so unfair, that he didn't receive any appreciation for 'Silence'.

I think, that the only thing, that I disliked, was the third act, but not because it was bad or something. I just didn't like the pacing of it, I felt it was needlessly slow. There are couple of good performances: by Adam Driver, who plays the other padre, Liam Neeson ( Father Ferreira) and the Japanese actors were really good and believable. Everyone did a fantastic job in this film, especially Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver, who both lost insane amount of weight just for their roles. That is a true heroism and professionalism.

Episode 8 title is 'The Last Jedi'.

I fells like we have been waiting forever for some news about new Star Wars film, which will come out in December of 2017. The title is obviously the thing, that revealed first, and there have been rumors about it, some fake titles, that I found bad. Thank, God, the actual title for Episode 8 is tremendous. It has that Star Wars feel, I am just ultimately happy with this title. There are no plot details revealed, but it is pretty obvious, that we will see much more Luke, and most likely the last Jedi is him. But it can be plural, so may be the both of them are the last Jedi. We will see. But right now I had my portion of happiness, and I do not want the teaser soon. Let us anticipate even more, Lucasfilm.

Why Him? Movie review

Why Him? A dark comedy about parents meeting the boyfriend of their daughter. And, from the first impression, this is going to be a mess, because that boyfriend is a complete disaster for the family. But the daughter loves him, and now the Boyfriend (James Franco), who is a very bizarre millioner, tries to earn the approval of the father to marry the daughter. So it becomes a fight between the father (Bryan Cranston) and the boyfriend, filled with a lot of dark humor.

The humor actually was always good enough, but there were too much of it, and somewhere in the middle of the film it became boring, and sometimes I just didn't laugh, because the jokes were the same and very similar. And the film has flaws, it is just a poor 'meet the parents' movie.

That being said. There are some good moments. And the comedy must bring those moments, or it would be a disaster. The last act of the movie was just too long and boring, the pacing was not good, I felt like it was a very spoiled story, but the script was not that bad, maybe just executed poorly.

The only huge disappointment for me was Bryan Cranston. I expected so much more, then just a cliched character. And I simply felt not comfortable with some scenes, and expected so much more from this movie, and it kind of annoyed me in the end. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for non-stop laughs and jokes, but I think, that this movie didn't quite achieve, what it was in the first place.

Hugh Jackman talks about the timeline, in which Logan(2017) will take place.

In the latest interview Hugh Jackman explained, in which timeline 'Logan' (2017) will take place. And as it appeared, he and the director James Mangold decided not to confuse the audience again with the twisted X-men universe. Instead 'Logan' will be a complete standalone, without any connection with 'Days of the Future Past'.

According to Jackman, this movie will be completely different in terms of timeline and tone, and it will feel like Wrestler and Unforgiven. Considering, that this is the last time Mr. Jackman plays Wolverine, he and James Mangold just decided to make what they want, and tell the best story.

Definitely, this story excites. Hugh Jackman confirmed, that this is a complete standalone, with such a great idea behind, so we will look forward march 3th a lot more.

James Cameron returns to his property. And Tim Miller is in early talks for directing.

We have got some awesome news. James Cameron himself will produce a new Terminator film with Deadpool's Tim Miller directing. This is so early to say something. Cameron is not even in possession of the rights, which will pass to him in 2019. These news excite me a lot. Just because of the fact that probably we will have a new Terminator movie, and Cameron will be involved. But also because it is a reboot. Would be great to see someone completely new as the Terminator, and to have a brand new story line.

James Cameron contacted Tim Miller, as the report says, and no one actually knows, if it is a sequel or a reboot. After Genesis, which was not that bad, I think there is no chance, that that cast is returning. I just can not see Jay Courtney and Emilia Clarke again with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator movie. It would turn a lot of people away from the movie. I think, that we will not see a new film in the next 5 years, and everything might change completely, but with a lot of optimism I feel like Cameron will take care of his baby and won't let us down.

Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern, again? A new rumor.

There have been a short list, everyone discussing now, about a few actors to play Hal Jordan in a new DCIU Green Lantern Corps. This list is based on speculations and probably Reynolds has no contract and this conversation is not making any sense, but if to look at this from the profit point of view, then this deal looks great for everyone, if the schedule are allowing.

The rumor is that Tom Cruise, Armie Hammer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bradley Cooper, Joel McHale or Ryan Reynolds might play Hal Jordan in the movie, which comes out in 2020. That is a damn long time to wait, so that is a very early talks and considerations, about who shall portray Hal Jordan.

Tom Cruise is the oldest one and never been in the superhero movie. He was in early talks for Iron Man, but didn't sigh up for that. And now Green Lantern. I think he won't sign this one either, just because of him, being so busy, especially, if his Mummy will do financially well. So the point is, that Tom Cruise, who always told everyone, that he is not that type of guy, who likes to be in that types of movies, and having always his own thing, will not break his word for unstable DCIU, in which schedules and release dates  are changed every second Friday.

So Maybe Reynolds is not that bad of an idea. Even though, he won't sigh up for this ether. Last time it hurt his career quite a bit, so I don't think he liked that experience.

I am not that super familiar ( not at all) who is Hal Jordan and Green Lantern Corps, so that is obvious, that I can't judge, who is a better fit. Nevertheless, I think Jake Gyllenhaal has a potential to be that guy. I think, he is a great actor, he always on his level, never below, so for DCIU, having such a talent in the universe would be awesome.

Certainly not Bradley Cooper. He is just Rocket Raccoon, and no one will do such a thing, to be in two competing universes at the same time. That not happening, get someone else, DC.

Armie Hammer. He was good last time I saw him on screen, in 'The Birth of a Nation'. I thought he gave one of the best performances in that movie, so I have a good feeling about it. When it will end, we might see a completely different person, but I suppose Hammer would fit, if he is good enough or similar to Hal Jordan.

Actually Joel McHale is an interesting choice, he is not that famous and will be a complete unknown for simple moviegoers, I think. And if he is good, then maybe DC will go on a risk, but they will cast Gyllenhaal, end of story.

Power Rangers second trailer.

The idea of this movie is clear for me, some says otherwise, but I suppose I know, what to expect and wait. The thing is: there are so many similar projects, that we are a little tired of all that teenage action movies over the years, but I hope, that this is something else and special, because I watched the TV show and know that this movie can be awesome, if handled exactly as needed. That should not become one of these corny action flicks, but fun and brand new. At least I hope it will. And I really like so far what is going on with this movie, the first trailer was a surprise, how good it was, and the images were good. That really feels like it is going to be something.

The second trailer is solid. It doesn't have something, that makes me feel, that I want to rewatch it. It certainly has some good moments, and the trailer itself is structured well, but some moments didn't work for me. Although the most important ones did, and that is why I don't think this trailer is just "OK", but solid, actually well made, with some atmospheric shots and moments I remember from watching Power Rangers.
I just hope, that it is not going to be a dumb cheesy movie, like Fifth Wave or Divergent, or even Fantastic Four(2015).

There is no plans to digitally recreate Princess Leia for Episode 9.

Disney and Lucasfilm decided not to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher's character for the future movies. There is no certainty at all, due to the information we have, however Episode 8 is finished and there is no need to use CGI for this one, but it is so sad and unfortunate, that now, most likely the script for Episode 9 will be changed, and the original idea will be lost, who knows, maybe for the best. And we still do not know if General Organa survives in the following movie, and may be there is no need for worry, but if it is a reverse situation, I can not even imagine how I will get used to the re-casted actress, because it seems to be the only solution, if not CGI. The only thing that bothers me here, is that the reaction in Lucasfilm gave the spoiler away about Leia's part and fate in Eight. The most bad decision that can be made is to just write Leia of, and explain it in the crawl. That would be awful. And this situation, as a whole, depresses me a lot by many reasons. One of them is that part of me knows, that we will never enjoy next episode as much as we could, if nothing happened.

I my opinion, it would be better for everyone, if Leia dies in Episode 8, it would conclude her path and bring peace to our harts. And there will be no need to mess with the character in the future. But if needed, I will appreciate, if they stick to the original idea and script and cast a new actress, if it would be masterfully done. I totally agree with no CGI idea, because the technology is still not there yet to recreate a live action person.

New Logan trailer and synopsis released.

It has been a long time after the first Logan trailer, but everyday promos made us very excited about this new Wolverine movie, which will tell old Logan's story.

I loved the first trailer, thought for the time, that it was the best trailer of 2016, and literally speaking it is the best trailer of that year, but for me, I prefer Guardians of the Galaxy second trailer with its awesomeness and fun to harsh Logan tone, nevertheless the first Logan trailer is a piece of art, this Johnny Cash music and the feel of it was amazing and touching to tears, I felt the pain and sadness, exactly the way trailers are supposed to thrill and excite.

But this one didn't strike me as a masterpiece trailer, some would say that it is, but the point is - I focused on what was in the story and didn't look for awesomeness, which I found, rewatching it time after time. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart made this long to this moment, when not just their characters are iconic, but themselves they are so bond with them, that we couldn't see anyone else in those roles, because for us - they are Professor X and Wolverine. And now, this is their last movie, and they conclude this universe with their character's story, full of pain and drama.

This story is particularly great, because of the premise of The Last of Us (game), road trip with the three of them and, of cause, realistic bloody western Wolverine movie. That is what we have got, as of right now. I liked and rewatched this trailer because of three things: I love Hugh Jackman in this role, his work impresses me and I want more and more of him as the Wolverine, and I like the tone and the atmosphere of Logan's movies, his character is one of the best ever, we will remember Hugh Jackman's Wolverine for decades, speaking only good things, and not remembering some flaws, which happened to be. Second, I likes the story. For me this premise is perfect, and I hope that it will be executed perfectly, because I feel like they chose this script to impress us last more time with the ultimate story they kept for years for the right time, which is now. I believe that this is going to be the best of the trilogy and the best of any X-men movies, even Days of the Future Past(2014), and it was so great that no one ever sad, that the new cast didn't work. Third, this is a damn good trailer. The music, the story, the sense it made, made me feel good, actually I disliked only that scene with comics, I don't think that it fits into that tone, may be it is a set up for Deadpool appearance, which will not happen.

Overall, that was a good marketing campaign. They started the fire so big, that everyone is aware of this movie coming out, so another round of applause for people in Fox, who decided and pooled this off again, as they did it last year with Deadpool, which was a giant hit. There are two questions unanswered: will Logan be great? and will Logan beat Deadpool in the box-office? I would say, that it won't. Just because Deadpool was such an event, and no one saw that before, but with Logan it is a different situation, because some people will decide to skip this just another superhero movie. And if it's great, I will be ultimately happy, that is just how I feel about it. And watch the international addition of this trailer as well, it adds, oddly, some scenes, and one in particular with Patrick Stewart, just in the end, that line he sad, stunned me, it is worth checking out. And actually this trailer version is filled with some f-words, which domestic cut didn't show, surprise.
And this poster is sweet. March is near.

Another story is the synopsis, revealed by Hugh Jackman on twitter:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

https://twitter.com/RealHughJackman/status/819883222138023941/photo/1
It basically tells us that Logan is hiding as he did in The Wolverine(2013) and he is in pain, lost his purpose, but now he cares for his old friend and mentor Charles Xavier, who is f-ing 90, and everything is very dramatic and dark, it is going to be a realistic movie, with a unique tone. One of my most anticipated movies of the year, so great, can't wait.

Why La La Land is that good? Movie review.

I watched La La Land, when it was finally released, and I loved it, of cause I new I would love it, but I expected a slightly different movie. This film definitely tells about people's dreams and love, and how they combine everything together and decide what is in the best interests for them to do. And sometimes the choice is tough, and the reality is harsh. Even more so for dreamers like Mia and Sebastian, who love what they do, but not sure if they still can stand the failures. This movie is about struggle and love. And it touches such a familiar issue for me, about LA and its difficulties and pleasures, its rhythm and the soul of the town. The music in this movie is so brilliantly made, and songs, are so well performed, and they inspire, so you want to listen to them more and more.

Personally, I think that the musical genre is not common now, these movies are rarely made, and most of them disappoint by their quality, but La La Land is a masterpiece of a film. I can not believe what passion and how much soul did Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Damien Chazelle gave to this project. They took this film so seriously, that now they totally deserve the reaction of the world this movie has. I personally love how Damien conveyed the feel and atmosphere of the city of Los Angeles to the audience, now I will appreciate this movie just for that feeling.

I am a big fan of Ryan Gosling, I want to devote him this little part and say that he was magnificent and brilliant( of cause as well as Emma). But Ryan did something exceptional - he played all the piano scenes himself with one shot, and consider, that he never did play that good before, so he spent two or so hours a day, preparing for shooting. This is an exceptional job, and pieces of music he played were very complex. Dancing and singing scenes took great effort too, as they were shot with long takes, and overall idea of this movie required some extraordinary talent from actors to portray their characters.

Generally speaking, this movie leaves a wonderful feel after viewing. It remind us of happiness and the importance of those ,whom we love and encourages to keep struggling for the dream and never give up.

Tropic Thunder 2008 movie review

Tropic Thunder. A comedy about filming the movie. It is a parody on many things related to movies and of course it is entertaining and sometimes hysterical.

I loved this movie. I actually compare this one with Deadpool in terms of the humor type. This movie definitely felt the same way, and making a joke out of Hollywood's stereotypes is a total blast for me. This movie had so many great dialogs and everyone did such a fantastic job portraying their characters, that I would call it one of the best comedies of all time. So it has a similar humor as Deadpool, only it is not a superhero movie and no one is breaking the fourth wall.

This is that type of comedy, when it's jokes are ironic about itself, presents itself as a fun, even dope a little, considering the fact, that all the cast are so famous and talented, so the amount of stars in one 'parody on Hollywood' movie is so rare, but so tremendous. Tone, which was chosen by the director and starring actor Ben Stiller is so appropriate, being so easy and dope, it makes me feel very pleasant about it. I appreciate this movie for what it is, it reminds me of these movies that are made with a sense of its unseriousness and fun. That bring a lot to the table, so it also becomes a fair dark comedy from so many wonderful actors I adore and love as a fan. And the acting is great in this, based on the idea of parody movie. Besides I admire Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise in it. Their characters were the best part for me, and they kept the film being always funny and bold. Even though it is not serious, but it barely achieves the level of silly and dumb, it is more smart and creative, and with its cheesy moments, whatsoever, but it is still a lot of fun. All the set up is a great and interesting idea and it is all almost brilliantly executed.

10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2017.

It is 2017, and it's time for the most anticipated movies. It will not be top 10, but just a list of ten great movies, that I watch this year the most. There will be only high profile movies, because little and independent ones are not on the radar yet.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻

1. Kong: Skull Island.
One of my most anticipated movies of 2017. It is a complete reboot of the original King Kong and stars Ton Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and Toby Kebbell. The first trailer did intrigue me a lot. The atmosphere, it creates, totally matches with the expectations. It certainly will be huge and a lot of fun. The movie will come out in March.

⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
2. Wonder Woman.
From what I hear from hardcore DC and Wonder Woman fans, this movie is going to be big. It might even be the most anticipated comic book movie this year. The buzz around it is so loud, that I think, this movie will become the turning point for DC cinematic universe in establishing the direction, where they are going with their further great movies. I didn't necessarily love the comic-con trailer, but a lot of people did. Despite some complaints about acting, I think, Gal Gadot will do a terrific job with her character in this movie, that will come out in June.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
3. Justice League.
Another big DC movie of 2017. As it will come out in November, I think, that this is that type of movies, that will be one of the biggest this year, and the anticipation will only increase, if Wonder Woman will be great. That will be the first ensemble DC movie and of course we will see Batman, Superman (most likely) and Wonder Woman again along side with Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash. The change of tone on more lighter, that Zack Snyder did might help, but overall the problem with Batman vs Superman was not in the tone, but in storytelling and editing. I hope that this movie will consider and fix issues, that I had with Batman vs Superman.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
4. John Wick: Chapter 2
This movie will come out in February. I hope it will continue the awesomeness of the first one and give us an incredible time. And watching trailers for this movie, now I am mostly sure that it not just going to be as good as the first one, but will have something new and special in it. So without a doubt, John Wick is in my list of the most anticipated films of 2017.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
5. Blade Runner 2049
This is the movie I am very excited about. This is a sequel to an original Blade Runner, which came out in 1982. It became iconic and artistic sci-fi movie, that now is considered as classics. To create the sequel were brought first class talents such as: Denis Villeneuve, Ryan Gosling and reprising his role Harrison Ford. This movie is supposed to be great, entertaining and artistic with unique atmosphere and feel of the original filmThis is why I want to see this movie that much. And I am also a huge Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling and Denis Villeneuve fan, so I wait October a lot this year. And this teaser was awesome too.

6. Logan.
Seems like the last Hugh Jackman role as Wolverine. Over the past 17 years he's done such a great job, he became Wolverine for all of us, and now he completes this long and beloved series of movies with Logan. The first trailer showed that this movie will rather focus on a more realistic tone, and superpowers would be more like a big highlight, instead of being common thing. Using more realistic tone also means more importance and vulnerability of the main characters. That will be the first rated R Wolverine movie and it will be violent and dramatic. I hope that this movie will be the last great defines of the Wolverine.

7. Spider-Man Homecoming. Spidey is back since his last year's Civil War, in which he was tremendous. He was definitely great in that one. Majority of the fans think that Tom Holland is a very good fit as Peter Parker. He has a great balance between being a teenager and an amazing superhero. The trailer has done a decisive job, finishing introduction part for a new Spider-Man. I feel like it is going to be great. It will have a unique tone and feel, so we will appreciate it for that, and also for Iron Man/Tony Stark, who is also in the movie, and of cause for the great Spider-Man. That union between Sony and Marvel will work out well, so we are expecting one of the best superhero movies of all time.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
8. Another big summer blockbuster we are all excited about. It is the third film in the Apes trilogy called War for the Planet of the Apes. The leader of the smart species of apes Caesar must protect his tribe from the rage of human leader - the Colonel played by Woody Harrelson himself. The trailer and the promise, that two first movies made us, make me think that this is the movie, that will be huge this year. The trailer showed us all we needed to get overexcited, and so far, this trilogy might become one of the best of all time.

9. O, yes yes. I might loose my mind, when this movie comes out. Sequel for the original Guardians of the Galaxy(2014). I love the first movie. I think it is a masterpiece in every way. And now when we get a sequel, especially with that kind of awesome trailers, it is like to wait for The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 or the Godfather in 1974. It is amazing, that all we see from the trailers mean that it is going to be just as great as the first one, or even better. I really can watch Guardians every day, it is literally my favorite comic book movie, so now when I am getting even more, I am very excited. And waiting for a new great soundtrack.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
10. Star Wars is more then just a movie - it is a huge cultural event. We do not have a title or a trailer, so it is all coming soon. The point is, that this movie doesn't even count as the most anticipated movie of the year, because it is more then just the most anticipated movie of the year - it is the experience of a lifetime.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
It was my list of 10 most anticipated movies of 2017 in no particular order, except Star Wars - it is number one anyway. Guardians also stand out for me as my second most anticipated. So this year is got to be great.

The Lincoln Lawyer 2011 movie review.

The Lincoln Lawyer. This is that type of movies that make you deeply feel it, breath by it and like it for what it is. It has such a tremendous atmosphere and tone of a crime thriller with some fun and charm, brought by Matthew McConaughey, who is so great as Mick Haller - a charismatic and talented lawyer. McConaughey played a similar role as in "A Time to Kill", in which he was great as well. I think he perfectly fits this kind of characters: charming and charismatic. The way he portrays his roles is always so amazing to watch, and this particular one is not an exclusion.

The film has a great sweet atmosphere, when Haller rides on his Lincoln, which serves him as an office, with his driver Earl. Being a lawyer means to be constantly in motion, talks and meetings. And they were amazingly made. I felt like every moment in this movie is so atmospheric, in terms of Matthew McConaughey's performance. And the way, how Haller talks his way out every time impressed me a lot as well as his character in general. I think, if there was a turning point in Matthew McConaughey's career, after which he became an Oscar winner, that was it.

This movie also has a good cast, storytelling, pace and the atmosphere of the attorney every day job and the feel of the big city of Los Angeles.
Incredible, atmospheric and very entertaining movie. It doesn't have just these pleasurable emotions, but a very nice story with a thrilling ending. Overall, this movie is absolutely worth seeing, it has everything I love about movies, but not on the highest level to become one of my favorites of all time.

The Birth of a Nation 2016 movie review

This film is about the rebellion against the cruel and terrible acts of white people against their slaves, that are shown in the film.

Nat Turner - black priest, who was born and raised in slavery, all his life he belonged to the Turners. He grew up and received an education, allowing him to read and preach in a small Church in order to inspire the slaves to work. He had a childhood friend Sam, with whom he had an almost equal relationship, and when they grew up, Sam in most cases, protected and treated him like a friend, with respect. The movie shows how the slaves live in this world, especially those who belong to bad owners. The film is very philosophical, it shows how the Bible affects a person, how unfairly sometimes, that slaves must obey against their will. And it is unfair, when the preacher is pointed to read only excerpts from the Bible about the approximate obedience of slaves, and not other parts, in which slavery is condemned. This film is about the strength of faith of one person.

I liked, that this movie didn't try to be 12 Years A Slave. It was realistic enough, but did not have that kind of emotional impact from the story. It is more like a smaller tale, people never heard about. This mutiny was bold and foolish, but inspired by a great idea. The history doesn't remember this, that is why this story must have been told and heard. Nate Parker did such a wonderful job in directing and acting. He was so believable, and his character was so masterfully done. I deeply enjoyed his work, which makes this movie feel significant. Armie Hammer was also very very good in this film. He portrayed his character on a master level, I felt and understood him, he appeared to be one of the best parts of the movie. I actually loved the relationship between Nat and Sam. It was remarkable and amazing, and I deeply felt emotional connection between two of them.

The film has a very smooth and consistent tone. I really liked the pace of the storytelling of the first two acts. But when the time came to the third, the movie could not adapt and adjust to a complete change and transformation into a murderous revenge streak. At the last forty minutes, the movie became ugly and bloody. Director's choice to go for such a drastic change seemed sudden and soon. Sometimes I did not feel emotional importance of some very significant events. I think, this movie lacked something in building emotional connections between some of the characters and the audience. Probably, there was not enough time to do that, the movie lasts only two hours, so the story felt short. And so I did not feel the drama fully at the end.

Overall, this movie works as a historical and relevant for the society, but it failed to reach the level of important and recognized. I liked the first hour very much, I thought it was masterfully done and told. The character of Nat touched me by his belief. The depth of the movie was very important and it worked. I heard the message and it was a very interesting point. It is an artistic movie, made for telling a relevant story.

Collide (2017) movie review.

Collide (2017) movie review.
Collide (2017) movie review

This is the type of movies that has big names in it, but do not cause any improvements and only add a question: "What are they doing in this film?". Every great actor, who is in this film is worth more than just an average action movie with cheap chase scenes and written in haste scenario. I'm not saying this movie is bad. It is very very average.

This is just a simple story, filmed with a sufficient quality. Nicholas Hoult obviously tried, he seemed good in the film, he was its best part. The rest of the cast just did it for the paycheck. For me, that is just a waste of their time and talent. Ben Kingsley played the same type of character as the Mandarin from Iron Man 3, Anthony Hopkins played the stereotypical drug lord, and Felicity Jones probably did not even notice that she was in this movie, just bringing her talent to it, but nothing more. She was in a nice shape, probably due to her Star Wars shooting.

It's a love story, and one day she gets ill, and he returns to his old life of theft in order to save her. The love story adds emotion and even some pleasure watching this movie. Felicity Jones and Nicholas Hoult have some nice chemistry together. Their performances in general work for this movie. Most of which I watched with interest, but the plot is very predictable and sometimes dull. That the ending completely lost my interest, after a rather silly turns in the plot. It just did not deliver, considering how poor some scenes were. And overall, having a weak plot and average action scenes, combined with the lack of satisfaction, this movie can definitely be called not bad, but very average. It is forgettable, but it's not a bad film after all.

Trespass Against Us 2017 movie review

Trespass Against Us is a small independent film, starring Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson. It has inherent independent feel and proper atmosphere, but overall it is not entertaining enough. This is a story about relationships between fathers and sons.

Cutler family lives as outlaws in their own anarchic corner of Britain's richest countryside. Chad Cutler (Michael Fassbender) is heir apparent to his bruising criminal father, Colby (Brendan Gleeson) and has been groomed to spend his life hunting, thieving and tormenting the police. But with his own son, Tyson (Georgie Smith) coming of age, Chad soon finds himself locked in a battle with his father for the future of his young family
Chad's relationship with his father is very important in the film, it creates the main plot and brings depth to the story.

When Colby learns of Chad's dreams for another life he sets out to tie his son and grandson into the archaic order that has bound the Cutler family for generations. He engineers a spectacular piece of criminal business involving a heist, a high-speed car chase and a manhunt, which leaves Chad bruised and bloodied and with his very freedom at stake. With the law cracking down and his father tightening his grip, Chad is forced into increasingly desperate measures.

This movie is deep and realistic. It shows difficulties, with which people encounter in this part of the world. The story itself is simple, but powerful and touching. Performances are great, Fassbender fits the role of a rustic uneducated thief who is incredibly good at driving. This role required him a complete transformation into a very different character for him with a change of an accent, and I think he almost succeeded in this. This movie accomplishes its goal to be artistic and well made, but there is something boring in this film, what makes it average and forgettable.

Assassin's Creed 2016 movie review

Cal Lynch - a criminal with a difficult childhood, who was executed and than revived by a very strange organization, which is in search of an artifact called 'Apple', which is able to heal humanity from violence. And of course, to find it they need to kill a few people.

From the very beginning, the film shows itself as a tedious and in most cases meaningless. Some shots and scenes are so long and boring, that you don't appreciate the story or the characters. The dialogues are so banal that they don't satisfy in any way. This movie clearly suffers from trying to be philosophical and intelligent, but appearing to be stupid and vague.

Reborn, Cal (Michael Fassbender) meets up with Sophia (Marion Cotillard), who manages experiments with people, which are helping her and her father (Jeremy Irons), the head of the organization, to find the 'Apple' and provide discovery to some secret meeting. Each of these three actors I mentioned are talented and brilliant, but I've never seen such a waste of talent, as it was in this film (there somewhere was Brendan Gleeson too, for a couple of seconds ) . No movie needs these kind of actors to do stone faces and speak simple dialogs all their screen time.

Experimentation are held on a futuristic machine that allows a person to connect his mind with his ancestor and see the past through his eyes. Sofia wants to find the 'Apple', talking some idealistic nonsense to her patients, that through their participation they will make the world a better place, but after all they only get sick of using this machine. As it turns out, the main link in search of this 'Apple' is Cal Lynch, who is a descendant of Aguilar - the last person, who knew where the artifact is. In this machine, Cal, suspended on a robotic installation, must connect to his ancestor and repeat Aguilar's running, jumping and fighting, so the scientists around would see through the past. Aguilar was one of the assassins, sworn to defend the 'Apple'. They were trying to protect it from the world, so it's probably not meant for healing, but rather bad things. That is why assassins were trying to keep it a secret. Because in this movie they are the 'good guys', doing everything for the good of the mankind.

By the middle, the movie starts to fall apart. It just doesn't entertain, due to it's poor execution. Scenes of fighting in the fifteenth century are the only good in the film. But they were messed up too. Despite an excellent stunt work, cool fighting scenes are ruined by constant switching between Fassbender, spinning on the machine and scenes in the fifteenth century. Even in those moments, in which the scenes of fighting are shown consistently, the shots are changing so quickly, that it is very hard to understand and enjoy what's going on. It is literally unwatchable. Actually, there are some nice and entertaining moments in this movie, Fassbender tried to be great as always, and I liked Aguilar's sidekick Maria (Ariane Labed), she was really good, at least tried to do something exceptional in a given her short time. But all these moments were overshadowed by a huge amount of negatives about this film.

It could have been such a good idea, but overall it appeared to be terribly executed and misunderstood by the people, who created it. I think it is sloppy, boring and senseless. This movie is so disappointing and poorly done, that I just want to ask people who made it: - "what were you thinking?".
