Live Die repeat:Edge of Tomorrow 2014 movie review

Doug Liman action film about the invasion of alien creatures. Major Cage (Tom Cruise) is sent to London to cover the events of the battle, the decisive battle that will decide the fate of mankind. He is not like typical Tom Cruise characters. He is selfish, soft, untrained and cowardly. The situation is hopeless and the General Brigham( Brendan Gleeson) sends Cage into battle tomorrow which is not possible for Cage, who tries to blackmail the General to not to go and got himself arrested for treason.

After that ironic kick, Tom Cruise's character wakes up as a private, who will go to battle as a meat with other usual soldiers. Then he starts to realize how the battles are really are and how impossible that only win over aliens was. One of the heroes of that victory was Emily Blant's character Rita Vrataski, who is a strong and tough just the opposite of Cage. This is a interesting twist, because Tom Cruise always plays that types of characters as Blant does in this movie. And the performances are great. I enjoyed this movie so much.

It has a stunning action sequences and incredible setting. The story is very original. Cage as planned died on that beach but he didn't die for all, he killed a Mimic( how the alien called) and it's blood was spread on Cage's face, so he received the power to reset the day. And now he lives one day and dies that every day. Than he starts to survive that beach and he meets Rita on the battlefield, saving her life, because he already learned how to save her in previous life, she tells him to find her. As for the story this was a great way to unite these two characters together, because they both have such a great chemistry together and eventually Rita Vrataski had this ability to reset the day too. 

As far as Cage returns to Rita to train him for battle, he becomes more and more usual Tom Cruise's bad-ass character. This transformation into this fighting force makes the movie so good and enjoyable. Through the endless deaths Cage tries to make it out of the beach to end this war.
