The first Conjuring has not made the same impression as the second one. I'm certainly not a big horror fan, so I would watch if would not be sure that the film is good.
The script is built exactly like in the second movie. The family is faced with the terrible events and Warrens are hired to help them. It is wrong to say that the script in this movie is not original, because it was released out before the second part. Rather, the second part follows the structure of the first.
In general, I liked the movie. Ed and Lorraine conduct their investigation and seek evidence for the church to help the poor family. The demon with whom they met at this time - the very embodiment of evil, even now, I have chills, writing it.
As well as in the other movie it focuses also on Warren's story. There are two villains in the movie, the demon with the family and demon into Annabelle.
James Wan with his incredible approach makes a great horror movie, basically inventing how the horror genre must work for the audience. He is building a terrifying mystery and creates a plot which makes you awake until sunrise.
