The Conjuring 2 - one of the most scary and terrifying movies ever made. James Wan - horror genius created a mystique around this movie that makes every mysterious thing happening on the screen brings a lot of chills.
The mystery of demons and ghosts, they actually do not scare until it is not a true story.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have nailed it again.The interaction between each other gives the film quality. Drama adds general scariness for the movie. The whole composition is ideal for horror. And it's not the kind of horror film scares by sharp moments, but with the plot which is build around all events, what greatly affects the general idea of the movie and makes it completely insane terrifying.
The story is based on real events, with real evidence presented during the credits. The music is just stunning, the scenes are made with a very high quality. All of the scares are not just scary, but appalling, due to that mysticism which was already been built. The film becomes scarier and scarier over time, but in the end the movie becomes incredibly creepy.
In general The Conjuring 2 - my favorite horror movie. It is so good that nothing can affect the overall impression of it for me. James Wan again made everything perfect, he is a genius, it's the scariest movie I've seen so far.
