Denzel Washington's third time directing a movie. Fences (2016) review.

Fences starring Denzel Washington and Viola Davis, directed by Denzel Washington, based on a play, about an ex-convict baseball player, who works as a garbageman and must maintain his family. He has got a tough life. This movie shows his relations with his sons, wife, friends and brother. It is a simple film, about life, relationships between people; it is about their lifetime.

This movie is all about dialogs. It is filled with long scenes of Denzel's character Troy telling some story about his past or some scenes of dialogs with his wife or sons. This movie is all about acting. I think that every performer in this film did a great job, I never felt, that someones acting was out of place or bad.

The most difficult thing about this movie is, that I couldn't sometimes understand the accent, but it is OK. Everyone in the movie does a fantastic job of bringing this hard to make movie to life, which some will find boring, but the director did everything to make it as entertaining as it could have been. And I was into it, I didn't feel bored; sometimes this movie really hooks you by its depth and thought.
I think, that this film deserves an Oscar nomination, and it is a very complex motion picture to make. It felt like a good story, successfully transferred to the big screen.

There were some flaws, but they are not important in this case, because it is not an easy task to make a movie based on a play. I just want to say, that this is pure art, created by two wonderful actors.
